You go girl!  I loved those first clothes shopping trips, and finally getting rid of my plus-size bathing suits.

Enjoy your swim.

Hugs,
Trish

At 5 years out, and fairly newly re-dedicated to my plan of eating, during my work day I have a 10:30 piece of fruit (usually a banana); lunch at 1 pm, which is usually a Lean Cuisine or Smart One (or 1/2 sandwich, or sandwich on burger roll) with either 1/2 c. salad or other veggie or piece of fruit ; then at 3:30 pm I usually have dairy/fruit -- like a yogurt or apple/cheese.

That's what works for me.  Having a routine, a plan, good food choices available.

You can do this!!!!!

Congratulaions!!!!!  I think not hating clothes shopping is another one of those definite benefits we get from this surgery and its fast results!!!  I love going shopping and knowing that any size 14 pair of pants I pick out is gonna fit, or any size 12 dress, or medium top, or etc. etc. etc.  Gone are the days of HATING any clothes shopping.   Yes! Even bathing suit shopping can be fun these days!

Bathing Suit Shopping...

My in laws invited us to their pool for Memorial Day, so I had the extreme pleasure of going swimsuit shopping and it really was a pleasure!  I brought into the fitting room a bunch of suits in different sizes because I have no idea what size I am.  The first one I tried on I loved.  I even had to walk out of the dressing room in it to get something from my cart and the store worker said, "Oh, that looks nice on you!"  I then tried on some cover ups.  I grabbed the largest one I could find on the rack and thought, "This is a junior's size there's no way in heck it's gonna fit."  Well that bad boy did fit and it was a little big so I washed and dryed it hoping it would shrink up a little!

Then I got on the scale and it has finally started to move again after a month stall. I'm so very grateful for my NSVs and SV.  I'm grateful for the amazing support that I have in my life and for the gifts of RNY and OA.  This surgery is one of the best choices I have ever made for myself.  Thanks everyone for being a part of my journey!!!

Ida,
I remember last summer when I was trying to pack my apartment to move down here, and my foot was strained, and I had to wear a huge boot.  The day I moved, the people who were helping me wouldn't even let me stand up.  I felt so frustrated wanting to help unpack boxes they were bringing down.

Take care of yourself.

Hugs,
Trish

 Hi Sara and PA,
Sara, you have every reason to be proud.  Your son is an extremely mature young man.  Thank God he knew first aid, for you.  I am sure your preparations for Sunday will be worth it.

I have had a lazy day today.  I'm not sleeping well, going to sleep very late and waking up early.  I drag through the days.  Still fighting a sinus infection.  Can't wait to get the sinus surgery on June 4th.

Hope everyone is having a blessed weekend.

Hugs,
Trish

Good Morning!

Congratulations mom on an amazing son, and congratulations to your son on all his accomplishments!!!

Today I'm sitting here on the couch, cannot move.  Was supposed to hang out with my daughters today can't drive.  Yesterday went to the funeral of one of Gene's dad's generation's cousins.  Gene's dad lived with her family for a time when his mom died when he was just a toddler.  She and her family hold a very special place in our hearts, very sad to be saying good bye yesterday.

After the funeral, when I went to get out of the car when we arrived home I could not move.  No idea what the heck I did.

For today, sitting on the couse mindlessly flipping through the TV channels.  I'd rather be outside or doing something to clean up my "horder looking rooms".  I'm trying to straighten up and start throwing out all the crap I no longer need for school.

Hope you all have a wonderful day.
Ida
